- Description
- The Community Economies Collective (CEC) seeks to bring about more sustainable and equitable forms of development by acting on new ways of thinking about economies and politics. The Collective challenges two problematic aspects of how “the economy” is understood: seeing it as inevitably capitalist and separating the economy from ecology. The ultimate aim is to help mobilize social transformation to a “post-capitalist politics,” but we believe in starting where we are and building other worlds with what is at hand by identifying, gathering, and amplifying ethical economic practices that already exist and betoken “the world we want to live in.”
